In a small village in Southern India, a grandmother in a red and yellow saree would walk to the fields, handpick seeds, and grind them in a traditional wooden cold press, the same chekku method her father taught her. She filtered the oil under the open sun and believed that when you taste truly honest oil, it carries the memory of the land, the rain, and the season it came from. That belief never left the family. It became Chekko — India's trusted traditional cold pressed oil brand.

Refined oils, by contrast, use high heat and chemical solvents that strip these benefits away. Chekko uses the authentic chekku wooden cold press method that has been practised in South India for generations.
